I'm hopeful that it's on its way to recovery. I see an increase in business in the service industry, so I'm hopeful.

It's on it's way down. In California we have over 12 percent unemployment, everybody's just going to keep collecting their unemployment check because there is no hope for doing anything else. It's all crashing down. Obama hasn't come through with his one-year plan.

The economy is obviously headed to ruin. If you want to be a successful nation state you have to invest in some crucial long-lasting things such as healthcare, education and housing. We are not, so we’re obviously going nowhere.

I definitely believe it's on a recovery—especially here in Santa Cruz. Our real estate market has hit the bottom and is on its way up, not very far yet but certainly heading that direction. And
we all need to have a positive attitude about it.
